You Sleep, But Do You Rest? 💤

Whether you sleep for six hours or nine hours it is not enough to give you the supernatural peace that God gives to those who rest in Him.

"For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest." - Hebrews 4:3 (AMP)

Hebrews 4:3 teaches us that when we believe in God and trust what his word says, then we will find rest.

Rest is freedom from fear, excessive reasoning, inner turmoil, struggle, anxiety, worry, and frustration, which develop because of us attempting to do what only God can do. The rest that God gives us is not necessarily a physical rest, but a mental rest. He gives us the ability to rest in confidence that everything is going to be okay, even when our circumstances say otherwise. It is a rest of the soul where the mind, will, and emotions are all at peace.

You can rest in God because you know He will take care of you and meet every single one of your needs. You don't always know when or how God is going to come through, but you also don't care because you are too busy enjoying your life, while trusting and allowing God to work out your problems.

God wants us to live at peace and in his rest. But in order for us to do that, we need to believe and trust that God is in control; and that what He has said in His word IS the final word. We can't allow a difficult and prolonged situation dictate the promises that God has already spoken. Remember, it is impossible for God to lie. So stand on and rest in the comfort of His word. Don't allow your circumstances to bring you doubt. Stay at rest with God.

In order to enter God's rest we need to quit trying to control everyone and everything around us and simply allow God to do what only He can do. In other words, surrender.

No matter how big the problem is that you face, God can, will, and wants to give you rest.

You Are Loved.
