Ephesians 3:20

20God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

A saying I use quite often is; " My husband's faith puts mine to shame."

For the past year he has asked me questions about buying a home. Questions like; "Do you want a huge back yard?", "What theme should it be?", "What kind of dog should we get?" I'd smile every time and nod in approval but in reality, deep down inside My heart says; "Sure like that'll ever happen." Although I thought these questions were great, my heart wasn't totally convinced that a new home was anywhere in sight for us.

One day as I was washing the second mound of dishes I had in my kitchen a question prompted my heart; "What if I put him to the test, what if I really believe with all my heart that God hears me and is opening doors at this very moment?" I immediately stopped what I was doing went into my prayer room and prayed a prayer that I had never prayed in my life, it was a prayer of pure convinced belief. Not less than twenty minutes later I received a phone call from my husband saying he randomly got a text from his old boss for a great opportunity to make double the money to help with our finances. After I hung up the phone I sat there in awe, not because of the money but because it was in that moment I realized that he had heard me. How amazing is it that we have a God who hears us when we call?

In the key note verse it talks about God working within us to help us achieve the best life possible. To work within means that whatever we are expecting in our hearts God is willing to show out in our lives. What are you truly believing for ? Are you even believing at all? Are your dreams exceeding all that you can imagine? Or are you like I was and expect the bare minimum or maybe even nothing at all.

We are children of God and we need to condition ourselves everyday in knowing that like a good father is to his children so is God to us. A father is someone who wants to give their children all their heart's desires and In order for us to see these desires come to pass in this lifetime we must be so convinced within. If we don't we will live in the "just enough" life, instead of one that God called us to live out in abundance.

I pray this post inspires you and encourages you to pray Big prayers. Remember, God hears you when you call & He is ready to answer.
